Osteopathy is mainly used to treat back pain, arthritis, sciatica, headaches, sports injuries, pregnancy pains and conditions associated with childhood. Osteopaths train for four years full time and learn a system of diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of conditions. Our manual treatment gently works on the structure and function of the body and is based on the principle that well-being depends on the skeleton, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues functioning smoothly together. 

Katie Collyer M.Ost

Katie graduated with distinction from the British School of Osteopathy in 2016. She was inspired to train as an osteopath whilst working in outdoor education and seeing its benefits amongst rock climbers. Katie recognises the importance of the body in enabling us to enjoy life, whether that’s climbing mountains or just walking in the park. Katie herself has a keen interest in rock climbing and mountaineering.

Katie enjoys treating all ages and has recently completed a two-year diploma in paediatric osteopathy at the Osteopathic Centre For Children in London. Katie works at both the practice in Hest Bank and runs the clinic at Kirkby Lonsdale.
